Q & A:

Q: Does Adobe Photoshop come with the program?

A: It is sold separately and can be found at many retail stores and online.  No, in the very near future we will be selling Adobe Photoshop CS on our website.  Photoshop 7 retails for $599.  You can purchase Photoshop CS alone or in a bundle; either Standard or Premium.  They include Photoshop CS, InDesign CS (pro page layout), Illustrator CS (pro vector creation), and ImageReady CS (Photoshop's handy web companion).  The Premium Edition also includes Adobe GoLive and Acrobat.  The CS Standard upgrade is around $549 and full version is around $999.  You can find more information at www.adobe.com

Q: I already have some experience with Photoshop and/or work within the design industry.  Would this be a good investment for me?

A: Absolutely!  When it comes to learning more about design and useful tips, can you afford to be left out of the loop?  You will view dozens and dozens of end-result posters and how they are produced and pick up many new ways to do things within Photoshop to give you an even more distinct advantage.  The program will easily confirm in your mind what you already know and will open you up to new, exciting possibilities and should demolish any 'blank screen syndrome'.

Q: Should I purchase or upgrade to the full Adobe Creative Suite (Premium or Standard) or just purchase/upgrade to Photoshop CS?

A: If you know the multimedia design is for you, you're not going to find a better all-in-one deal anywhere.  The upgrade to the Standard Suite alone is worth the cost of a full InDesign CS.  You're getting 3 programs in one.  Orion has the Standard CS and recommends it as a complete design environment.  If you're just getting started you may want to purchase or upgrade to Photoshop 7 or CS alone.  It's your choice.  Do a little research on what your plans are.

Q: Can I hire Orion Williams to do some design for me or my company?

A: Not likely.  Like yours, his time is very valuable, however special circumstances may be arranged.  Send request to orion@photoshopdesigner.com with subject: REQUEST FOR HIREAmongst realistic projects he will consider taking on will include Hollywood/Studio One Sheet Design (when he finds time to network for his own purposes).

Q: Which version of Photoshop is my training in?

A: The First Edition is taught in Photoshop 7.  Everything that is trained and taught can be done in virtually any version of Photoshop and is applicable throughout whichever version you have.  Older versions will not have all of the features that 7 or CS has.  We recommend purchasing Photoshop CS.  We have included another bonus: A Photoshop CS Features Bonus CD with 21 practical tutorials on the exciting new features that Photoshop CS has to offer.

All Photoshop Designer releases in the future will take place in the most current version of Photoshop (CS or "Photoshop 8" right now).  The First Edition took many months to produce and could not have been done entirely in CS because of the recent release date from Adobe.

Q: Do I have to own Photoshop to get your Total Package?

A: No, use the First Edition and the bonuses as preparation or training until you feel you are ready to acquire Photoshop 7 or CS.  If you are considering purchasing the software, our education will give you a headstart and will help you understand the inner workings of real world graphic design.

Q: Can I distribute designs in the .PSD Design CD as my own?

A: No, please follow the EULA included in the 2 Bonus Content CD's (.jpg & .psd formats).  Commercial use is available upon request, otherwise you can freely use them in your education and personal/non-commercial designs.

Q: Will this knowledge/training work on other (lesser) image editing programs?

A: Perhaps...we have not taken the time to study lesser programs but many of the tutorials may apply universally to image editing programs, dependent on each program's level of depth.  The education is meant for Adobe Photoshop (especially version 7 and CS) but the education of design and certain technical processes may be applied to other software programs but we highly recommend using Adobe Photoshop 7 or CS (because it's the Bomb Baby).

Q: Will you have other training programs available?

A: Absolutely.  We are committed to expanding your multimedia/design education and will provide several products such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc.  We will also produce specialized programs for NUera, OneSheet, Flyers, Advanced Selections (Selection Perfection), Web Design (using multiple programs) and more than likely Macromedia programs such as Flash MX, Dreamweaver MX.  We may also release professional training on Sony/Sonic Foundry Vegas Video 4.0 and DVD Architect so you can learn how to produce professional video, understand editing and learn dvd production.  Stay informed by subscribing to the free PSDer Ezine.  DreamCore Productions, Ltd. is committed to your ongoing multimedia education.  We are also open to other software professionals who may be interested in producing top-quality training programs.

Q: Are the discs for PC or Mac?

A: They are for both formats.  The 8 DVD discs are for DVD players and will also work fine if you have PC or MAC with a DVD drive and DVD software.  The 3 Bonus CD's are PC or MAC compatible.

Q: Can I purchase other Photoshop Designer Collezioni Prints of my choosing?

A: Soon you will be able to have these options.

Q: Why are there funny names for tutorials on the C-poster DVD?

A: It is Orion's way of producing; he makes up funny names when he's "flowing" even if they're nonsensical to some, it makes some sense to him.  You can hopefully learn from this a little and start to think more & more like a producer yourself.

Q: Why won't the DVD's play on my DVD player?

A: Make sure that you have DVD software installed on your computer (with your DVD player).  For example Intermedia WinDVD or MediaMatics.  Try download.com and search for DVD player.

Q: Who is this Orion guy anyways?

A: He sees visions when he is awake and is your worst nightmare...(in a timed design contest ;)
